The Cemetery Trust
The Trust consists of seven volunteers from within the community who are appointed by the Department of Health & Human Services. They are responsible for the running of the Traralgon Cemetery & Crematorium with the assistance of a Secretary who is also the Manager of the Gippsland Memorial Park. Each Trust member has a term of five years and then has the choice of reapplying for another term or can leave to make room for someone else. During those five years, all Trust members participate in Governance Training organised by the Department.

The Gippsland Memorial Park has a staff of eight, including two ground staff. On average 1200 cremations occur each year with approximately 120 burials. The Gippsland Memorial Park works with about 12 Funeral Directors throughout Gippsland and South East Melbourne.
